Dear Lord,
Would it possible
for one moment
to hold the breath of the world?
Then these maniacs have to gasp for breath
and pause for an instant.
Those who have inklings would have breathing room.
The kids could breathe a sigh of relief.
And you would have the opportunity
to refill the quiet openings with beauty.
